Service based IT companies

Owing to the name, service-based companies provides solutions and services regarding IT for other companies. It is more of a B2B (business to business) model. There are IT departments in most organizations and others depend on these IT companies for services. The services range over a vast area covering myriad tech words like

·        Data, Database and Data storage services

·        Information security and Monitoring services

·        Application Programming Interface’s

·        Business Processes

·        Digital platforms

·        Enabling and ensuring media presence

·        Websites and Applications development, more and much more.

They work for specific client needs only. These companies take care of the overall IT needs and provides IT solutions to any organisations or businesses which is an important component for the success of the latter.

Product based IT companies

The companies that design, build and generate IT products fall under this category. Each application and every software that we use in our daily survival is a product of Information Technology. Likely to be more of a B2C type; as most products are universally viable. Some of these are called software companies too.

Need examples?

The big buzzes like Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Adobe are all product-based software/IT companies while those companies that use these products and provide services like Infosys, Wipro and such come under service based.
